Excellent August business figures for the Casino de la Vallé (The Aosta Valley Casino) at Saint-Vincent

The positive trend for the casino continued in August with some very good figures.
The figure for the number of patrons reached 70, 181; a significant increase of 11.4 % increase (equating to 7,210 patrons) year on year.

The figure for the cumulative number of patrons for the year was also positive (a 2.8 % increase, equating to 10,604 patrons); for the last three months, the number of patrons has increased incrementally.
There were also good results for the number of games played, and therefore the amount of money bet: this increased by around 2 %.

The French games performed particularly well – they generated an increase of €1.2 million; this was a result of, among other things, the sizeable investments that were targeted at VIP patrons around the time of the mid-August holiday. This particular increase was largely responsible for the overall good performance of the monthly gross turnover generated by games. The turnover reached € 9,590,004, an increase of 8.7 % year on year.

The American and Electronic games produced fairly stable figures compared to last year – something of an achievement in today’s challenging economic climate.
In September, we will have to measure ourselves against the extremely good results we achieved in 2008. With this in mind, a number of projects have been organized, with the aim of enticing patrons into the games rooms. These will start next weekend with the Chemin de fer tournament. They will then continue with the traditional Slot machine competition “Happy Hour” (18 – 20 September), the weekly tournament Texas Hold’Em (Thursdays and Sundays) and the concert of Francesco De Gregori (18 September), a wonderful complement to the programme of entertainment offered by the Casino.
