The Italian National Slalom Team will be arriving in Valle d’Aosta on Monday 8th February for a three-day stay in Saint-Vincent.
The “retreat” in Saint-Vincent, organised by Col de Joux srl, and in collaboration with InSaintVincent Association, Saint-Vincent City Council, Casino de la Vallée and Saint-Vincent Tourism Consortium, is a chance for some final team practice before leaving for the Olympics in Vancouver.
Training will take place on Col de Joux’s piste no. 1, a scenic location on the Riviera delle Alpi, where the National Athletes came for a similar training session in January 2008.
That year Manfred Moelgg won the Slalom World Cup, beating the Frenchman, Jean-Baptiste Grange, by a hair’s breadth.
The team at Col de Joux srl has been working diligently to ensure that the pistes are in the best possible condition for the National Team.
The snowfall of the last few hours has led to even more feverish preparations.
