July 2010, a milestone of change

The month of July 2010 well-deservedly enters Casino de la Vallée’s record books for the extraordinary turn around which characterises it.
This month the modern EVOLUTION ROOM was opened, equipped with more than 200 of the latest generation in slot machines, some of which are exclusive in Europe, a smoking room and the GAYA Bar and Restaurant.

The Room has been much appreciated by the customers, as has the bar and restaurant service, with compliments to the chef for the creativity of the Menu, on offer every evening from 7 o’clock.

The opening of the EVOLUTION Room is another important stage in the process of change which has characterised the Saint-Vincent Casino over the last two years, a process which will continue to characterise it over the next two years, in an extraordinary way.

In fact, in the month of July 2010, the Development Plan for the Grand Hotel Billia Complex was approved by the Regional Council, which is of interest to the Casino and confirms the birth of the “Saint-Vincent Resort & Casino”, with a significant investment of about €60million.
The aim is to relaunch the Casino, the Grand Hotel Billia Hotel Complex and Saint-Vincent to become a point of reference for entertainment in North West Italy, in the near future.

Good news for Grand Hotel Billia, again in relation to the month just finished, where there has been an 80% increase in room occupancy and presence; the best performance recorded in the last 10 years.

At the Casino, attendance is increasing and is at 53,422 (+2.46%), and the annual total is at 335,235 (+3.94%). As far as gross income from games is concerned, despite the fact that a notable volume of games was recorded also in July, about €1m more than in 2009, fate decided to reward the players, especially those of French roulette, trente quarante, American Roulette, Craps and electronic games. The figures for the month therefore show a significant downturn in the gross income from games, which was €7,137,287. The progressive annual amount is however positive by €194,519 (+0.36%).

On the entertainment front for the month of August, there is the BOND Ballet, which will be performed from 13th to 22nd every evening at the Brasserie du Casinò, the traditional Forfait from 11th to 21st, which attracts the Casinò’s most loyal customers back to the Grand Hotel Billia, the weekly Texas Hold’em Tournament (4th, 5th, 8th, 25th, 26th and 29th) and the full programme of events organised by the InSaintVincent Association, which, for the whole month, will animate the historic centre of the spa town (info: www.insaintvincent.it).
