Zero Double Zero 5 - 6 february

Zero Double Zero TALENT SHOW - 5 and 6 february

Variety artist - MIKE ROLLINS

mike_rollins.jpgOne man, two passports (American and Irish), three languages (English, Italian and French), multiple personality and a lot of talent. Born near Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), from an early age Mike showed signs of individualism and hyperactivity, which got him into trouble both at home and at school. This caused the development of a healthy scepticism of authority.

At age 17, he swore to his father, “I want to find a way to live without working.” In 2001 Mike phoned his father from the Ligurian coast to proudly tell him that he had found the solution. “I’m a street artist.” Ironically, Mike started working like never before in his life. For three years Mike attended a circus school in Turin from 9 to 5; taught English from 5.30 to 7.30 and then studied theatre in the evenings until midnight.

At the weekends he prepared and performed his show in the streets and squares of Turin. He fell in love with all types of shows, but the street offered him the freedom and spontaneity which attracted his natural liveliness. Since starting to perform, he has toured all of Europe with his show “Non è colpa mia” (It’s not my fault), amazing and fascinating all those who have been lucky enough to see it.

Magician - VAN DENON

van_denon.jpgWhen he was a child, Van Denon was struck by Silvan’s television shows, and he collected the toys and the manual. This passion was hidden until 1986, when he finally entered the Club Magico Italiano and met the great Alberto Sitta.

In 1988 he created the foundations of the Van Denon Magic Flash and in 1990 he won the bachetta d'argento (silver wand) and took part in the Losanna world championships.

In 1991 he decided to give up magic in order to follow other artistic directions, he studied singing, theatre and dance. But after five years, magic made itself felt again, more forcefully than ever. He met Nicole, his current partner and assistant, and together they revived Van Denon Magic Flash.

Van Denon Magic Flash
Thanks to its insistent and lively rhythm, Van Denon Magic Flash has a great stage impact and is today one of the best illusionism shows on an international scale. Created using the tricks of the most important performance schools, it distances itself from the traditional characteristics of magic. It is structured in such a way as to have the right balance between tension and relaxation, which allows spectators to experience a crescendo of incredible emotions and embark on a wonderful journey through their imagination.

The care taken with the equipment, particularly in tune with the people, the direction, the music, the costumes and the choreography, dealt with by professionals from the show business industry, make Van Denon Magic Flash into a complete show, where the total impact can be appreciated and not only the simple effect of magic. The determination of the two artists, at times very hard and at other times very sweet and sensual, manages to create the perfect level of tension amongst the audience, who are transported, thanks to the musical variety, to different dimensions, thus breaking the visual and audio monotony, which often characterises this type of show. Classical and modern illusions alternate in an urgent mix, creating a show which is suitable for people of all ages, which can be performed on a wide variety of occasions and in a wide variety of places: squares, big restaurants, hotels, theatres, tourist resorts, ships.
